my nintendo switch is one of my favorite handhelds. I replaced the shells to be pink joycons and an animal crossing backplate. This pairs so nicely with a light purple case and joycon covers!

my pro controller has also had its shell replaced. If you couldn't tell I'm very much into a pink and green colorscheme. I used a waterslide decal for the little rabbit.

my childhood 3ds, one of the few expensive things my parents could afford. Even though I could never afford the 60 buck titles, I played the shit out of this growing up. My favorite games were Club Penguin EPF, Zoobles, and Scooby Doo and the Spooky Swamp.

this bad baby is my new 3ds xl, I bought it a bit after the pandemic, the screen is kinda dead in parts :/. I've modded it so I run all sorts of games, movies, and even books.

my desktop is a super janky old build I got second hand. It's not awesome, but it was cheap, can run some games, and can be used to make NFC cards.

my headphones are secondhand razor x overwatch Lucio themed. I got them super cheap years ago and love them. Def the best way for me to listen to music.

one of my most prized possessions, my yellow walkman is a hand-me-down from my dad! The quality is amazing. Remember to buy cassette players second hand, even the most expensive modern ones are cheap and poor quality!

if you couldn't tell by my deep love for cassettes, I am not an audiophile. In fact, I believe any medium of art can and should be enjoyed in accessible formats, not with premium exclusive set ups! My turntable is then literally the cheapest non suitcase turntable on the market and I love it.

idk if it's just me, but I have such bad luck with second hand cd players. My current one is this strawberry shortcake one I got secondhand. It doesn't play all CD types, but I'm mainly a cassette girlie anyway.

my ipod is my current pride and joy. I spent months hunting down cases and accessories for it. It's a refurbished 4th gen 20gb ipod classic, so she is thicc, but that's where her charm lies. I am obsessed with putting music, especially demos posted by smaller artists online, onto it and listening to it while I commute and study. I so recommend getting one.

currently, I use mega and google drive for cloud backups and western digitals 5tb drives for my physical copies. It was expensive, but I feel very iffy about having ALL my files stored in some unknown data center.

one of the most traumatic moments of my childhood was when my parents tossed our VCR player. I was horrified. How, I screamed, was I supposed to watch the Princess Bride now!!! Well, I am happy to report I am now finally able to watch my childhood VHS again. I watched Sinners on VHS this year and my god was it beautiful.

now despite child me's horror at the prospect of switing from VHS to DVD, DVDs are actually now by absolute favorite way to watch film. I could go on and on about the merits of actually owning your collection as well as the financial benefits (and believe me I have), but I do truly believe that there is no movie medium more accessible and incredible than the humble DVD. I have four main dvd players, my USB player (because my thick as a brick 2k macbook doesn't have one????), my ONN dvd player for my bedroom TV (a great option for a cheap DVD player), my portable DVD player (she is aged and glitchy but I love her), and my blu ray player (not pictured, currently lounging on a pedastal in my poor man's home theatre. I got her for 9 bucks from goodwill, instead of 200+ brand new. Seriously thrift your dvds and players, you'll save so much).

my earbuds are these great option I got online, good quality and only like 20 bucks. My cameras are actually my childhood cameras. I mean there are decent quality and certainly nostaglic, but I would not fall for those companies trying to get you to buy 200+ dollar "vintage" digicams, once again just buy second hand
